Double-Breasted Mid-Length Trench Coat with Notch Lapels

A mid-thigh trench with a notch lapel collar and a straight, unbelted line. It closes double-breasted and keeps its shape open as well as shut. A straight, unbelted trench is the harder version to get right, because there is no belt to rescue the shape. This one holds its line through the shoulder and falls to mid-thigh without flaring. The notch lapels stay flat when the coat is buttoned. The straight cut means it holds its shape hanging open, which is how a mid-length coat is worn for most of the season.
